Anyway to flip selection when tearing? (Mesh edit mode)

In the process of cutting apart a model and I’m wondering if there’s some way to influence or change which side is selected when doing a tear operation with the V key? It’s not exactly obvious which side of the new edges becomes active during the operation, and it seems half the time I get the wrong one.


I couldn’t find documentation, but it seems to matter which side your pointer is on when the V key is pressed.

bl cannot guess on which side you want to move things
and no option for it as I know of !
