AO Baking Problems

Hi!

I’m having some trouble with a model.
I’m trying to bake an Ambient Occlusion map to it, but the plane underneath won’t render.

Here’s what it looks like:

The black square in the texture is supposed to contain the baked AO, but it’s black.

Btw, I joined the meshes, tower and plane (Ctrl + J). I think this has to do with it, but I’m not sure, and I wouldn’t know how to fix it anyway.

Anyone got any ideas?

After joining have you remapped your uvs?

Yes I did.

I kind of fixed it by deleting that cursed plane and extruding the lower border of the middle tower. I’m quite happy with it now, but I’d still like to know if there’s any fix for this in case I’ll bump into it again.

i had a similar problem
and it turned out to be caused by a Material i’d assigned to the object.
I deleted the material and the problem went away, AO baked just fine :confused:
dunno what was up with that.

When I do it it doens’t show a texture under it. How can I do this in the GE?
