AO in in 2.5 is too hard when things are too close.
it gets all dark very quickly.
is this a bug ? feature ?

I can’t say anything in particular, but I have noticed it is significantly harder for me to get it to deliver the results I want. but I’ve mostly been using it in conjunction with Environment Lighting, so I guess I just figured it was due to learning that, or that I’m getting more observant about how light acts and thus it is making me choosier as an artist. The only way I use it alone is for baking, which I always heavily edit after the bake, so not really an issue for me there.
