append problem

%| :expressionless: [>] [!] :Z :< :expressionless: :stuck_out_tongue: :x 8) :-?  :frowning: :o

I change the directories in information window(textures, sequence plugin

etc) and now when i try to append something from my old blend files

I get an error like this in msdos blender window:

C:\MISDOC~1PROGRA~1BLEND\vegetacion.blend: Invalid argument

and I CANT APPEND ANITHING BECAUSE NOTHING APPEAR TO APPEND

someone knows why and how to solve?

The path to the .blend file looks weird, or is it me who can’t remember how DOS handles paths?

try putting it in c:\blender or something.

Btw. what version of Blender are you blending with?

First of all I’m not sure what your problem is exactly because of what you say here:

I CANT APPEND ANITHING BECAUSE NOTHING APPEAR TO APPEND

BUT… if you changed your directories from the default settings, then any .blend that you want to append from will have to be in the β€˜new’ directories you created for Blender to be able to find them. So move them.
Also, if you hit Ctrl-U to save your new directories, then (in windoze at least) there is a file somewhere on C drive called Not A Number with your old default settings and some temp .blends in it. If you move these files out of there and hit Ctrl-U again, it may solve your problem.

%<

2.25 and 2.26 windows

I delete this files c/windows/.B.blend,.Bfont,.Bfs,.Blog,.BPkey and hit
ctrl+u(save user defaults) but dont solve the problem

The one I meant is @:

C:\Documents and Settings\Your Name\Application Data\Not A Number

%<

now I can append (to append the file must be decompressed)
