Is there way to append the information of whatever is in the nodes editor to a new .blend file? Thing is, I have a .blend with one node setup and another with a different node setup, but I want to combine them together without having start completely over with creating these node setups. Is there an easy way to do this?
If I recall correctly, it is possible to append node groups. Perhaps you could try that?
As BeBraw said, you have to create a Node group in your “source” file. Then when you use the File/Append command you’ll see a “NodeTree” section in the Load Library “tree”, with your node group(s) within it. After loading it, in the Node editor use Add/Group to access the group. You can ungroup it if you wish with ALT-G (Node/Ungroup).

Awesome,
I knew there had to be a way to do it, I just couldn’t figure out why nodes were’t showing up as an option.
Thanks for the help guys!
