appending object does not show up in render

i have a problem with an appended object into a blender file. It doesn’t show up in the render.

version : 2.65a

test with cycles and blender internal.

i checked the layers and the outliner to no avail.

i hope that someone could bring some light in this matter.

So where’s the blend file, or is it a just a guessing game ?

MAke sure its visible,check layers.

Could it be that the object i appended is a 2.4x object ? if i duplicate the object, the problem rest the same.

You have set the object to be Group Duplication. Set it to None
