For a while I’ve been trying to figure out how to overcome the above issue.
Basically, while in Sculpt Mode, I wanna trace over the edgeflow I’ve done for a model beneath using the Paint tool. I thought to use Viewport alpha to do this, but painting removes any effect of the Viewport alpha.
I struggled to find the solution, but I’ve finally found a little “workaround” that I honestly never thought to try for some reason: X-Ray.
It’s fine for what I need, but I would have preferred only the coat to be translucent, not the body. Especially relevant in more complex projects.
I thought transparency + painting was just not possible in Blender, but knowing x-ray allows this, it should.
Does anyone know a better solution for this?
TL;DR I want the coat to be translucent while I paint it (Sculpt Mode) and leave the body opaque. Viewport transparency does not work.
Thank you!
