Applying 2 texture?????

Is there a way to apply two textures to one object. For example adding a regular texrture then applying a texture with the mirror effect in the UV texture window???

If you have UV mapped the mesh previously, then you just apply the second texture as you would a normal image texture, but set the UV option instead of ORCO and then make all the necessary settings after that.

Sure there is a way… for each material you can add 8 texture channels. Those channels can be images, enviroment maps, procedural textures, etc. etc. etc… Just make shure that you activate the “Stencil” option and that the textures have some amount of alpha transparency.

You may need to experiment a bit testing which texture should be on top, but that is as easy as re-assigning the texture channels.

SIDE NOTE: It doesn’ t seem to be your case, but if the material will be also a particle emisor, the particles speed and direction will be influenced by the texture that you put on the 8th channel only, the other 7 channels doesn’t affect the particles behavior.

Bdgm, what is with your Avatar? I truly freaks the hell out of me :< :expressionless:

Sorry I just relized it. I actually meant in the vertex texture mapping. sorry again.

He means face texture mapping obviously, if not, he wouldn’t be talking about the ‘mirror button’.

Yes, you can do that, but not directly. just create a second object, alt-s it to be a bit ‘fatter’ than the original object, and then apply a texture to that one with alpha.
