applying jpeg image texture

What steps do I take to apply a shingle jpeg image texture to an imported wrl model. When I imported this model the textures were on it. Once imported the textures were in my documents folder as image files. I’m totally new to Blender3D.

Why will my model not render. Do I have to make some adjusments on my graphics card?

F12 and Blender should render your project if there is a camera in the scene
Some moddels you download dont have a camera and you have to add one (in object mode)

My model will still not render, even after I have done all of the above. Anymore suggestions? Thanks

Whit the cursor in the few screen hit numpad 0 and you get the camera few
Maybe your camera isnt pointing at your project
If you upload your blender file we can help you beter and maybe find out whats wrong

I will try the previous suggestion in the morning.

I’ve tried everything and I cannot get the file to render. Should I create a dropbox account and post the file that way? Are there any more suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

The house is a litle big, scale it down to kinda the size of the grid and place the house on the grid
There are a lot of parts, dont know what you did maybe remove some of the parts
Camera isnt pointing at the house (when you render you get what is in front of the the camera ),Whit the cursur in the few port press numpad 0 to get the camera few, this is also what you get if you render the scene

I converted the above file to a 3ds file and it imported much better. I then tried to adjust the textures on the eyebrow dormer but was unable to do so. Is their an ungroup or un join command that would allow me to adjust the seperate textures on the roof? Could someone please remove the DORMER.blend file from my post above. Thanks!
