Applying premade texture map to a premade mesh


I want to make mods for a game called killing floor
I’ve extracted the mesh for the hand and the texture map for the hand from the game directory.
I cant unwrap the mesh because it wont match with the texture map
how would I about doing this?

Are we supposed to use our imagination to try guess what the object/UV/texture looks like ?

How did you ‘extract it’ ?
If it doesn’t extract the UVs, complain to whoever created the extractor
There are a gazillion different ways to uv unwrap a mesh

sorry im kind of new to this scene
I thought there was a general way of doing it
I guess using an extractor that extract UV maps is the solution
