Archicad to Blender

Hi all,
Sorry if this was already posted somewhere, I couldnt find a thread.

I am importing archicad files as .3ds into blender to complete some renders, but as much as i try the scale in which it’s imported is too small, even if when i measure elements they appear to be correct.Bassicly the standard cube is bigger than the house.
When scaling the house, modifying the cliping plane of the scene and of the camera don’t appear to function correctly, and i cant make things to be accurate as well.

Any tips on this?

Also have another issue, when adding vegetation to the scene blend file jumps from 50mb to 3.1 gb.

Thank you in advance.

I don’t see any attached example file ?

modifying the cliping plane of the scene and of the camera don’t appear to function correctly
In what way ? or is it guesswork ?

Hello i’am working with archicad and i can help you.
You have to save your 3ds file with 1000mm scale.
When you import it in blender change the size contrainst to 1000. That’s all
Don’t forget to enter edit mode for EACH mesh and remove doubles and if you want hit ALT+J to remove triangles

Cheers
