Hi,
As far as i know 2.9 doesn’t respect the “wire” shading mode set at object level.
Under 2.82 / 2.82a you should ensure that “holes” collection display is disabled (small eye).
There is also a known issue related to “Cycles” addon disabled in your workspace / not available.
