Architectural visualisation

Here is my first project in Blender + Povray for money
At begining I made simple bank interior based on delivered materials.

Rendering time in 3000x2000 was about 2,5 hour including 30 minutes of calculating radiosity on AthlonXP 2400.

Very nice. You should add some bevels IMHO. And the wood texture on the tables looks strange. Shouldn’t the grain of the wood run the other way (horizontal).

What your image lacks is color leak. Especially for the back wall. That bright orange should reflect on the other walls.

nice

Nice scene. But if you use Yafray you get more realism with GI or Path-Light!
You make a test also with Yafray

It’s not problem with Povray, but there is about 30 lamp. 30 lamp * some photons = looong rendering time.
I can’t use path-light in closed rooms :frowning:
Remember: resolution is 3000x2000 and there are three different views.

Great work. It looks very nice.

Sure looks nice. That anti alias level did you use for that.
Is it just my perception or is POVRay much faster than YAFRay?
Can we have a peek at the huge render file (maybe a detail)?

Here is small part of raw render:

Antialias level (depth 2, threshold 0.1) isn’t high but it’s enough for print in A4.

Most powerfull feature of Povray is saving radiosity. I can compute radiosity in small resolution 300x200, save result, and then make fast hires rendering.
I think it’s not possible in Yafray at now. But for pictures with caustics, hdri I prefer Yafray.

good job!

lot’s of valour needed to make a professional archvis using free software.

That’s a big challenge i think

Well done, grzybu. It’s nice to see Blender being used professionally like this. Thanks for sharing the good news with us.

The best blender workshop in Poland. Just Grzybu.
B.T.W. I have been working with architectural projects for several months, but i couldn’t find customer or architect interested in paying for
course or visualisation :<
