Are there way to press out a hole in object in Sculpting mode?

If we push onto object (by substracting instruments) then there cavity appears, but is it possible to push it all the way through the object to the other side and get a hole eventually - pierce it.
I just was thinking what is the best way to cut off parts in sculpt mode and that would be convenient.

Other than doing it with Boolean modifier I can’t see any better way.

While on ZBrush for example there is such an eraser brush, Blender lacks this feature by the moment.
