I keep setting my bones and when I finish I save… Take a break… And when I reopen the file… all my bones are flipped around.
Has this happened to anyone else?

I just got done putting them back in place, saved, and reopened and bang! They are flipped!
Does using the .left and .right naming technique have to be done according to the viewport or the model?
When I rotated the armature 180 degrees, switching left for right in the viewport, it stopped flipping the bones.

The naming is not affected by the viewport. Use Ctrl-A to apply/clear rotation.

Select the armature and apply the size/rot (Ctrl-A).
this usually solves this.
