armature bug?

is this a bug / or am I just messing up?

the goal is to join 2 armatures

create 2 bones / now create a 2nd armature with 2 bones

in object mode select both armatures / ctrl + j to join them

now you have Bone and Bone.001 --> Bone.003

between Bone.002 and Bone.003 add a null

add an ik constraint to Bone.003 pointing to the null

try and move the null

nothing :-?

anyone seen this before?

or am I just missing something

A picture or .blend file would help probably, but off hand I’d say it sounds like you might have a loop in your bones. It really depends on how you parented them and which IKs you enabled.
