armature facial animation

Hi! Here’s my work in facial animation using an armature. The face model is obtained by a 3D laser scanner. It has 38 bones arranged as the real muscular anatomical structure. The expresions are obtained by considering the master join fixed to the skull and the subordinated join fixed to the skin tissue. I made different poses with the bones and group them in actions that correspond to the Action Units described in the Facial Action Coding System. By combination of that actions you can obtain different expresions. The model is interactive so you can control the movement of the action units with some key pressing. It also can be controlled from another computer as it has a tcp socket based server python script. Here are some screenshots:
