Armature mirroring

Hello! I’m in the process of making my first rigging, but I have an annoying problem with mirroring. So I select the bones, duplicate them, and mirror them as the video (below in the link) said (S + X + -1). But some bones come out rotated on the X axis, yet in the video they all good. Also, this problem only showed on the arms, the legs were mirrored perfectly.

try to mirror thim using the ctrl+m+X insted of scaling thim, even though some bones going to over fliipe , but you can fix thim manuly !!!

They’re still rotated. :frowning:

Oh wait! I’ve found it. Bone/Transform/Roll, I put all on zero degree and it’s done.

yeah !!! good thing youv fix it

I think there is a slightly better way where you don’t have to worry about roll values not being zero, naming will be taken care of (no longer the 00# suffixes) and even constraints are copied over properly. I made a short video on it. Seemed easier then typing it all out and you can see exactly what the steps are.

Oh thank you very much and I greatly appreciate the video!

Glad to hear its useful. You are most welcome.
