Okay Im having this issue with my armature, when I select a bone, and grab it, it does the opposite of what I do. When I go left it goes right, when I go up it goes down, this has happened to me twice before. The first time was a hand rigg and it pretty much start “opposing” me from the start. But the second time I was setting up a leg rig, and Im pretty sure it was working the right way. The I went to clean up the vertex grouping and when I went back to Pose Mode, it would start doing the opposite of where my mouse was, I would pul left, it pulls right. But the arm part of the rigg works fine still, clarification on this would be wonderful, is it a bug, is it fixable, I really hope it is, thanks yall
On the 3D window headerbar you have your Scaling/Rotation Pivit Point set to Cursor. Either change it to “Bounding Box” or “Median Point” or move your 3D cursor.
I’m glad you asked that question as I was having so many problems moving my character around and Fligh %'s solution sorted it straight away. I can’t belive I did’nt realise it myself !!, I was just glad to have got through the rigging process !!
Use widgets on rotate–normal, and always try animating in a higharchy;
example:–someone throwing a stone.
1: animate the spine
2: go to the legs (“stand them on their feet”)
3: go to the sholders (“how they twist”)
4: fix the arms; anticipation, action, follow through.
5: tweek in reverse order
—It’s a fulproof system----
–Though I am a 3d newbie, I’ve fooled around with 2d animation for a long while----(check how my skills translate in my sig-- you can probably do much better)
