Armeture Questions

So i know in some instances there needs to be a bounding box on my character but what if i want my character to be able to like push on the ground with his feet. if there was an armeture and i just parented only boxes to the hands feet head and chest is there a way to make him jump according to what the boxes do?

Try this, get rid of your armatures, create what each bone would normally be attached to as a separate object. Then create your movement using Ipos, as they can be used with physics by turning on the force button in the Ipo actuator panel. This way however takes a lot more time, so you might want to consider just doing your actions and animations as separate things. eg. have the one key attached to two actuators through one controller, that way when you press jump, the force will move on the figure from the motion panel and your animation will play through action panel. Either way you want, both will work for most things.

Another thing with having Ipos is the separate objects are going to be conflicting with each other, that would be difficult to fix.

Never mind it can’t be done the Ipos aren’t strong enough to over come the physics. I am leaving this up so that someone smarter then me may be able to fix the problem in my theory.

My advice is just to use the other suggestion, and put a motion and a action to play at the press of a single button.
