Artifacts on surface of render, but not in rende4red preview view...

I’m getting weird black triangles on part of a model I’m trying to render, but in the rendered preview it looks fine, any idea?

I have no modifiers active on the model.

Whats the topology look like?

Check your outliner, you may have an object set to render (out of frame) but not in preview, and it’s blocking the light source. Eyeballs and camera icons should be the same on all.

Looks pretty similar to the black lines, to be fair:

Usual mesh from text thin triangles type deal… Still confused why that doesn’t show in the preview though?

Just moved the text mesh and a light source to an empty layer and still the same issue…

Not sure how we are supposed to troubleshoot this without access to the file…
Please ALWAYS supply an example .blend file with any support question.

Can’t seem to upload the blend here, but this link should work:https://www.dropbox.com/s/pyedfpxt4pa09kc/Kontroversi_Mesh.blend?dl=0

On the text object(s) konta_logo1 and 2, select them and enable auto-smooth:

Niiiice yeah that’s done it. I’m still a little confused as to why that needed to be done (All the normals on that front face should have been facing in the same direction) and also why it only affects the final render and not the preview, but at least it’s solved.

Thanks!

I don’t fully understand it, and I don’t know why it wouldn’t be the same in viewport.
