Artifacts when using ray-tracing?

Hi,
When I try to use ray-tracing for my model something strange happens. Do anyone know whast causes this? I have attaches how it looks when i render it.

Sorry if this has been posted before but I couldn’t find anything.

There might be some overlapping faces. Select all in Edit mode and W, Remove Doubles. Also try CTRL+N Recalculate Normals, just in case.

What texture do you have on that?

Thanks for the help, but it seems that there must have been some sort of bug with my Mesh because I couldn’t reproduce the problem with a clean file so I just started over.

But thanks for trying to help anyway.
