Artist needed for 9 min. sequence within feature film

A Good Hurt Productions (, a film production company based in Los Angeles, is looking for a blender artist to help with a sequence in our first feature film, “By the Soles of Our Feet” (, a surreal, experimental comedy currently in post-production.

In the movie, a loyal sidekick joins his suicidal hero on a search for a new reason to live. Their adventures take them through seven chapters, each one marked by a different movie genre. One of those chapters, the “romantic comedy/musical” one (TRT: 9 min.), was shot against a green screen with the idea of replacing the background for an idyllic pasture, like the one featured in the Big Buck Bunny short (

We need someone to create that environment and compose it with our footage. Reply to this post and we’ll send you a link to a rough cut of that chapter so you can get a better idea of the project. We’ll pay according to experience and final scope of work. We’re open to working with artists worldwide, but we prefer L.A. based artists for obvious reasons.

Also, for a more detailed synopsis, please visit our website or watch/download a Sizzle Reel (lacking final color correction, score, VFX and sound mix):

Here’s a link to the chapter of the movie that needs a CGI background:

Take a look at it and let me know your thoughts. Because of our limited budget, we’re considering recycling the backgrounds from the “Big Buck Bunny” short, since the bender files are available online (

Déjame saber qué piensas. Estamos pensando en reciclar los elementos de “Big Buck Bunny” ya que todos los archivos blender están online ( Me puedes escribir a [email protected].

Some of those shots will need to be motion tracked. Any idea the specs of the camera used? a name and if possible focal length for any of the moving shots would be good.
