I found only two scripts for Blender that allow you to export to ASE. They both don’t work 
Is there any working ASE exporter for Blender 2.40 ?

I wrote a ASE exporter for blender a while back, but found that Max cant even import it!!
If you have a problem, tell me how your using the exporter and how it dosent work.
I can’t really check if it exports right, but I can not import .ase file to GTKRadiant (Quake3 level editor). Maybe it’s a problem with GTKRadiant.
Anyway, I am gonna wait on GTKRadiant’s author reply and if it’s his problem than your exporter work perfectly fine
