So i was fiddling around with the new sculpt mode, and figured that between blender’s sculpt mode and the new uv baking, I could simulate zmapper (to a small extent).
so i just subdivided a plane, added an asphalt uv texture so i could see where to sculpt, and sculpted the larger rocks. then i used that same texture to add a bump map to it using just a plain color map (asphalt is black and the stones in it are usually somewhat white)
so when i baked the normals using “control alt b” i got a bump map. the sculpting added to the larger features, and the color map as a bump map added the small details.
then i made a simple spec map using gimp to get a gray scale image with adjusted contrast
so here it is!
feel free to use them, but pm me, cause id like to know if it was useful (even as a placeholder texture)
