Asset Wizard for Blender 2.8

Hi, I just started converting my assets for Blender. Asset Wizard is great so far.
While I am doing this, I also write an FBX file for each asset, so that I can use it in other software as well.

Now, it would be very helpful to have the option to switch the FBX file to not display in the asset selector when appending/linking assets to a new szene.
In Blender I only use the blend assets. Still being able to save the FBX as well is helpful.
Even though I have the impression that the FBX files do not have the materials with them.

Maybe one could just add two control boxes for showing FBX, Blend, or Both?
Maybe this could get implemented in one of the next releases?

Thanks for a great tool!

I can no longer export materials from the shader editor.

I’m hoping that someone has a tip or a solution?

Hi,

relative_remap has changed to: path_remap in 2.90. Find all instances of relative_remap=True in the addon and replace with: path_remap=‘RELATIVE_ALL’

This is so great!
Many thanks Morpheus1010.

A little typing error in the quotation marks.
path_remap=‘RELATIVE_ALL’ - is correct.

Again, thank you very much!

my pleasure :wink:

Maybe a bit late, but regarding the auto naming: By disabling the “Compact Panels” option in the plugins preferences, you can see that this can be disabled in the UI as well:
