Assign color

Hello to all,

My problem is the following: I would like to color an iris of an eye in black from a sphere.
I select the loops of the sphere.
Then I press the assign button but that doesn’t do anything, then by pressing the select button, the whole sphere is selected.

My problem is that the assign button does not assign the color to the selection.

Here you go…

  1. Select the area for the Iris…in the shader slot add New Material…call it Iris and then assign…
  2. Inverse select for the eyeball… add new material and call it eyeball…assign

Select first > Make New Material > assign Material…
