Astronaut Helmet Help/Tutorials?

I have been trying to make a good astronaut helmet, and the visor has got me stumped. All my boolean operations create some extremely ugly topology and shading issues, and I really don’t know any other way to go about this. I am aiming for a Mercury era style helmet, like this one.

Apply a shrinkwrap to it.

Oh, yeah. I never thought about turning a UV sphere on its side. Now I don’t have sucky topology anymore! Thank you.
