This image looks a bit spooky. Midnight is godzina duchów or “the ghosts’ hour” in Polish. In our literature we have i.a. Mickiewicz’s Dziady drama that addresses this long gone pagan rite. In 1968 Dziady were the reason for students’ political March revolt. And in Poland we do have Polish made horror movies but they never became hits, let alone smash ones, with us. The whole genre is, in fact, not much popular in Poland. Ghosts and spooks are present in folklore and fantasy literature (The Witcher!) though.
