I found Lego Animator’s Earth models, and decided to use them. I was taking shots of the Earth when I wanted a space background, but I just couldn’t use textured backgrounds before (Though, that was awhile ago.) So, I tried to mess with Blender’s own texture “thing” to make a space background using cloud textures (Not going for realism). What do you think?
You’re getting there, though I don’t think I’d use such a high normal value for Earth’s continents. If you’re wanting to make a galaxy effect with your space backdrop, you might be interested in this thread. I think this method works better than a world cloud texture (it depends on the effect you’re going for).
