Attempting to use texture with partial transparency, render gives unusual results.

After using all methods I know to use with blender, I was unsucsessful at getting the proper result I was aiming for. The images I’ve attached include, what I was aiming for it to look like, what my current render looks like, the texture I used, and the original texure. (Note: The first image is blue because the skyshpere is partially transparent and the sky behind it is blue.)





Is there any chance I could have actually used the alpha mask and get my expected results?

your attachments aren’t working. could be that you don’t have enough of a post count to use attachments yet. they do that to filter out spam bots I think.
