The car should be a little more reflective, though, and the windows need to be a little less opaque and have a tiny amount of bluish tint, judging by the ‘real’ picture.
Otherwise, you have a great-looking model. Try a lower camera angle to show off some of the chrome/reflections, and add some lighting. I don’t know what kind of scene you’re going for, but the blue from the real photo does seem to fit well.
Excellent. only thing that distracted me on the first render is the strange orange and white faces on the left headlight where the white bodywork seams to interfear with the indicator. Not sure if that is a render error or some strange faces lying around
hey guys!
I’ve done a lot of tweaking in the last couple of weeks.
I’ve changed the rims, set the original color back and messed around a little with the mesh.
so now i got this:
one problem keeps me getting nuts…the headlights, still workin’ on this.
what do you think? is it near final?
This looks fantastic. I agree about the headlights but what really stands out for me is the reflection. Specifcally the reflection on the panel above the front wheel. It looks like there is a second car right next to this one. From what I’ve seen of studio car photos the aim is to keep the reflections as simple as possible.
I used a hdr map for reflection, problem is I didn’t find any indoor hdr map…they’re always taken from an outside environment.
so for me you see a reflected rollercoaster from a fun park (-.-)
If anyone knows a place where I can find (free) indoor hdr maps, bring it on
I will render one pic tonight without the hdr…let’s see
