wow – nice going. Funnily enough, you are at almost exactly the same point in modeling this car that I am.

thats looks real good . How much of the interior are planing on modeling?
And how did you set up your carbon fiber material?
Hoping to model the whole interior, starting it today.
Carbon fibre uses a diffuse map, a bump map, normal map and a reflectivity/specularity map.
First BSDF layer has diffuse & bump, with 100% roughness nd1.00
Second BSDF layer has diffuse & normal map, with reflectivity map limited to 99% roughness.
Third layer is the reflection/specular layer, which has nd=10.00 roughness 5%
Adjusted spherical UV unwrap, 90’ x axis rotation, which maintains the fibre direction over the creases.
I’ll be uploading the mxm to the gallery soon.

another question: where do you get your hdr images?
HDRI images are from the internet & 3DWorld magazine. Do a google for free hdri.
Update on the modeling at the rear of the car. Exterior now completed except for a few minor additions. Modeling time now at 15hrs.

I also prefered the (Ice) silver one. But in Daytona grey or Phantom black it’s awesome too! :ba: The lights (with all those LEDs) will be tricky I guess. I’m curious how you’re gonna fix that!
Can’t wait to see a great render of it when it’s finished. I think it will look like the pictures from car-commercials (kinda realistic!)
