PS. if anyone’s interested Struggle is not dead im just experimenting a lot with particles lately so nothing interesting to post.
well… i havent found a street photo of an R8 with such lights so i presume it’s from the concept
i’ve started modelling the rear… as far as i love the looks of the car, some parts are horrible to model and i’d kill the designer of the R8 for those little holes in the car body
errr… parking sensors? Not a real design-issue IMO
On topic: great work man. I love the amount of detail you put in it. Looking forward to the materials (and the rest of the body of course). Small remark: I guess you forgot two sensors in the front bumper.
btw: I wonder how you did those clay renders. What was your light setup and renderer? Those renders are really nice!
it’s a “fairly simple” setup, 4 spot lamps for nice soft lighting (2 over and 2 under the car) + 3 specular-only lamps to give a bit of reflection on the clay material
the floor has a shadow only material
the whole render is split into 2 layers: car and floor which are later combined using node editor… anyways here are some screenshots with details
The same from me!
Man! You’re fast! …And not only fast, but good… so considering The Production Triangletheory it must be also expensive
It’s excelente! Like usual you budget very well your polys using the exact amout necessary, no more nor less :RocknRoll:
thank you glad You like it, the car body is the fairly quick part… unfortunatelly its also my favourite part so i often drop projects later … its not as fun later on
ill try to be patient on this one though
and a minor update, more bits and pieces at the back, fixed some stuff and added plates to fill some of the holes
