Model looks o.k. The glare doesn’t work for me though. It’s too bright, and the lens flare on the bumper looks too sharp. Also, the terrain looks far too uneven for a car like this.

I agree with what OnyxIdol said. Also the dirt texture on the side of the car looks a little strange to me. It should be mainly behind the front and back wheels, not spread evenly along the entire side. Here is an image as reference:

You can probably find some decent textures to use for the splatter on cgtextures.

Also, not well integrated with the background. Shadows are off.

I was just about to say the same as MrMagician. The main problem is that the lighting direction is pretty much the opposite of what it needs to be. Look at the shadow on the building/structure in the background, or the trees, and it is pretty clear that the sun is to the right of the picture. Your light source appears to be above and slightly to the left. I would fix the lighting before you ask for criticism, it’s pretty hard to advise until that is sorted out.

  • In the mean time, the car looks a little too unreflective - assuming you want it to be glossy (which looks like the case from your pic).
  • Remove the glare until you get the lighting right
  • Shadows will start to look better once the lighting is fixed, but note that in a pic where the sun is obviously shining, you would expect somewhat more defined shadows. Making that work with your terrain will be one of the keys to making the shadows look good.
