Auto Smooth option not present in Object Data pane..

I want to auto smooth a mesh, but this option is missing in the ‘Normals’ section of the Object data pane.

Using blender 2.65…

Not available with Cycles render. Use edge split modifier instead.

Ah yep, got it - I couldn’t get it to work initially, but then switched ‘smooth’ on for all the faces and now we’re golden!
