AutoCAD-like command line

I’m new to Blender/Python, how hard would it be to make an add-on for a command line, similar to AutoCAD? Where you type in the full or partial name of a function you want to use, using space or enter as “enter”. Having come from an engineering background the Artistic modelling programs are very difficult and remembering all the short cuts is a nightmare. The search tool basically does what i want in a cumbersome manner, so i think it wouldn’t be horribly difficult.

Press F3 and you get a search box similar to the command prompt. If you want to see each command that is being executed I think that on 2.8 you have to open an info window type

Oh please do it. For so long some people are waiting for that.

There’s an addon that ships with Blender called PDT that does this if I’m not mistaken
