Wolksvagem Fusca: 2.441.443 faces Rendered with blender in 10 minutes textures: photoshop
Corvette C3: This is one of my old stuff, and I really liked this model so I decided to re-render it and I got this very pleasing result
The scene has 148.678 faces and took about 13 hours to render in luxrender
I hope you guys like it, if so post a comment.
And if you think that it can get more photorealistic tell me how :eyebrowlift:
thx
1: Get rid of the chromatic aberration. Sorry, but it’s just a cheap trick; avoid it like the plague.
2: Lower the camera, so that it looks less like a scale model.
3: Work on the lighting to make it more interesting.
4: A little work in the GIMP…
thx for being the first to comment @saeblundr it means a lot @spacetug very nice gimp work but don’t you think it’s a little too dark, it’s almost as if you dropped too much the gamma. You might be right about the chromatic aberration, but I’m new to this external renderer stuff and at first I liked the effect
The creases and edges on this one are loose and generous, which at best make the car look like a scale model die cast and at worse make the model look molten and amateurish. Sharpening those up will improve the presence of the model. Don’t be afraid to really crease those edges.
Nice work, Im also working on a Corvette at the moment (1969 model C3), and it should be done soon I hope.
The C3 generation was the best by far, my dream car, automotive perfection.
Could we see some renders from other angles? A back view etc?
Awesome job! I remember your earlier thread on the corvette which does have a “first-attempt at modeling a car” appearance, but it looks like you’ve outdone yourself with the Fusca (Beatle?). Excellent work on the texturing.
