Wondering if anyone has discussed this –
I was thinking it would be cool to click on an avatar and see a larger version (if avalilable) - because some of them are really interesting.
…Then again, maybe some of them should remain small? 
BTW- My wife calls my current avatar the Sick Smurf

What kind of people are we who must see everyting ?

Not sure it’d be worth the extra effort, you can always just pm people if you’d like to see a larger version.
I agree with aquaglow. We already take up a massive amount of bandwidth as it is, adding even larger images just stresses things even more.
It’d still be cool though.
By the way, if anyone wants to see an enlarged (1280x1024) version of my beautiful avatar, just let me know and I’ll hook you up.

It needn’t be a drag on elysiun’s resources If the zoomer were just an image link offsite- You’d be responsible for providing the url and picture if you wanted to.
I think it’s a good idea. But only if people host the large images on their own. It would be to much for our bandwidth to handle for something like this.
That would be nice, if there was a bigger image for it to link to.
