Hey guys… I was just wondering if we’d like to explain what our avatars and signatures mean… you know, why you chose the ones you did.
My avatar shows a metal monster in front of a Mondrian painting. Well, I like Modrian, and the monster is something I saw at an outdoor musuem. I’m glad I took a picture of it, because the next time I went there, the museum people had done away with it. They had said they hated it.
My signature is a quote I read in a book called “The Museum of Hoxes” (worth reading), and I thought it was pretty funny. And “blessed are the geeks”… I think we can all relate to.
My sig now reads a quote from ‘Book of Dope Stories’ by Howard Marks. And is relevant because of elYsiun’s, Blender’s and my facination with all things Suzanne shaped. Ditto for my avatar, but with the smoking part personified. (Direct relation to the real me? You decide that.)
You could post in the Support Forum asking Support to change your user name. There is a Sticky topic there, that explains how to do this.

My avatar SHOULD be a gun going off, as I love crime films. But apparently, either Timothy is playing mind games with me or he deleted it.
My sig is changing soon, since the thread has somewhat died down (Should I shut the f*** up? Go to the Off-Topic forum and vote). Now, what would be appropriate? Ah, more crime film-obsessive things.
Well, I still haven’t made an appropriate avatar, but my Name is actually short for MercuryCrest. For some reason, when I first signed on, it wouldn’t allow me to use the full name; hence the shortened “Merc”. It’s the title of a poem I wrote a while back.
“Ad Lumen Per Tenebras” Is Latin for “Through Darkness To The Light”, and I find it frighteningly appropriate to describe my life
Well, my avitar was just the coolest char i had done to date. I’ve thought latley about changing my avitar tho to my version of the blender logo i did a while back, would be a good one i think…
And my sig, which has been the same since i joined (and hand typed every time for some strange habit/reason…) “Blend on, and blend well!!!” was from when i came to elYsiun after NaN shut down and decided that even if blender died i would go on working with it and using it, and wanted to encourage others to do the same, so i wanted everyone to read “Blend on, and blend well!!!” over and over and over, almost a thousand posts with it anywayz…
Well, my sig is now a quote from the song “Can Hurt Me” by the band Lifesigns. (For which I happen to play lead guitar) The avatar is one of the many small logos I whipped up for the band.

My sig is from the song “One-winged angel” from Final Fantasy VII. It’s latin and means “fate monstrous and empty”.
My previous sig, “Remember, misery loves company”, was from Metallicas song “My friend of misery”. Metallica rules!!!
