avi to dvd?

How would i go about getting an AVI file burned onto a dvd and playable in a dvd player? any help appreciated. Oh and its a Divx AVI

do you have nero? roxio? the more recent versions of both applications have all the tools you will need.

encode to mpeg-2 i take it? Im going to go out now and pick up nero. been meaning to for a while. Thanks for the quick reply.

You don’t need Nero to do that. There are free solutions to encode Mpeg-2:

There is even a program called AVI2DVD.

TMPGenc is very good.

well nero is encoding and going to burn as we speak. I tried TMPGenc but the sound didnt come out right and it was low quality. i hope this comes out better 1hr 48 minutes left. wish me luck :smiley:
