I thought I would make a thread for each weekend’s contest that I enter.
This weekend’s topic is “void”.
A void is actually the absence of something. I think a typical aproach would be to render something that would assentuate the absence bt I’m taking this opportunity to model something else.
This weekend, I will try to model the Void Ray from Starcraft 2. I believe it’s a technology developed by the dark templar in the void of space between galaxies. I’m sure I don’t have the lore right, but it sounds cool.
Here is the progress so far, one day down, 2 more to go. The left is the normal state and the right is in it’s deployed state.
Not sure if I made the render better or worse today.
Okay, too tired to get any more work done for todays work. (man walking 5 miles in 100 degree weather and direct sun light really wears me out)
The theme for this week is crime, so I’m rendering a bank vault scene. Here is the door that I’ve been working on.
I fealt so good about my first try at making a carpet, I just had to post the progress. More progress coming later today.
I was trying to go for a neon stle flower, but I think I got some good results with this other sytle. Which do you guys think is better.
Okay, got some feedback from my parents so I have gone with the first style. I have lost count of how many compositing nodes I have used. I’m to tired to do any more today. (but that’s what I said 2 hours ago)
