For some reason, when I add a background image, it only shows up in the camera’s view. It doesn’t seem to matter what I set it to appear in. I tried 1, 3, and 7 views but none of them appear. Blender 2.58 64-bit Windows 7 Home Premium. I tried reinstalling Blender, to no avail.
First thing to check is if you set ‘Axis’ in Background Images to All Views.
Second, be sure you’re in Orthographic View (Numpad5). In Perspective view it never shows up
