hi
i have a windows 7 64bit computer with blender 2.49 and am very new to the program. when i click “view” then “use background image” what comes next the tutorials seem to sujest that i should see a folder icon but icant see one. i have a box with opacity, size, x&y offset and load. load takes me to a list of files associated with blender not any with images on my computer. help!. any support appreciated.

Blender doesn´t know where your images are. You got to navigate there 
In the new window in the upper left you see two small arrows on an icon. This changes the drive letter.
And with clicking […] you get up one directory.
