Apologies for what’s probably a dumb question, but I’ve been trying to add a background image to trace - following a ‘build a logo’ tutorial. Trouble is, the tutorial and all the references I can find say ‘shift-f7’ and use the Load button. When I press ‘shift-f7’, an enlarged copy of the button window is placed in the 3d window. What am I doing wrong? :-?
In the 3D window, there is in your left corner at the bottom a menu that’s called “view” in that menu you can click “Background image”
after that it’s like before 
Just go to View–>Background Image.
You’ll get a popup window, from where you can load the image you wish to have as background… Press the ‘Load’ button and browse till you get to the image you want… There are other interesting attributes you can set, such as the Image’s size, transparency and x,y coordinates…
I surely wish by the time I finish typing my reply, that zero d and Fligh are not around to reply faster than me one more time…
