background (world color) doesn't render

I’m trying out Depth of Field in my test render.

In the Node Editor I have Defocus in line between my Render Layer and my Composite. Image and Z buffer are output from the Render Layer to the Defocus, and the Image output of the Defocus is going into the Composite.

My nice white background, which I set up in the World Panel, is stripped from the composite output.

How do I get it back?


That seems odd, can you post a simpified .blend of the file to test?
