bad news from NetVentures for NaN and Blender (Ton&Joeri

:frowning:
NaN and Blender seems to be discontinued as Ton & Joeri posted:

Okay here is how I look at it:

Netventures owns Blender because they paid allot of money for it right?
I mean, if we buy a car with 3 people and I pay 75% of itā€™s price I think
itā€™s reasonable that if I donā€™t want you to paint it green it would get
painted
green, even if you have ā€˜logicā€™ reasons for it.

Yes very bad news, Randall now goes back to America. Then again, itā€™s
not really the ā€˜No new mobileā€™ fault that Randall, Reevan & Daniel had to go
back. Hack; that another 23 people are/where out of a job, thatā€™s got
more to
do with ā€˜brilliantā€™ Hotwheels plans that Ruud seems to admire as much as
I do.

>Destroying 2 months of preparationsā€¦
<sarcasm>
O wait, and destroying my plans too! I had hired a CEO, CFO and
CRP too, making plans to try to ensure my future, now this silly Ruud
throws it all away! Canā€™t he see thatā€™s just unreasonable? At least he
should
pay my declarations, maybe there still is some pension fund somewhere.

People I talked to found it a bad idea anyway.

But that is good news right? Means lying pages as the ā€˜we employ 23
peopleā€™ will no
longer be there only to serve the ā€˜sellersā€™ propose of pretending there
is a company.
Not serving any blender fan since there is no tutorial or file download
possible.

If other shareholders get frustrated by lack of interest of the main
shareholder then
maybe these shareholders should consider counseling.
Meaning: If you really want the car green; buy your own car!

Things are going great, thank you. Hope you will start a new life soon to.

Adues,
WeWa

WHAT!!!

So what does it all mean really? Why put some groceries in the fridge if you are not planning to eat them later?

Seriously, I am well off, and my family is too. What does it take to get Blender on itā€™s feet again? Name the price!

:frowning:

Hi Erwin,

This is indeed really bad news :o

Do you mind if I ask you where you saw this discussion/Compliled this information? From the look of it, it seems to have come from seperate sources (But I could be wrong :stuck_out_tongue: )

Also, do you have any Idea if we are likely to hear from King Ton regarding this - Or is he likely to remain his usual tight lipped self about it?

This was an email from Ton which Joeri replied to, whatā€™s there not to understand?

I dont quite understand whats happening

Someone simplify it

i guess blender belongs ot some one else now?

Why, what can we do?

buy it back?

fundraise? (i will honestly give you every cent i have)

A-ha.

You see, Blender, the software, is not to be continued in its current form as the shareholders see how its a sunken ship.

It has for a while.

Learn XSI, Max, Maya, LWā€¦ The options are quite a few Iā€™d say. You can also kill yourself, but that leads to pain and suffering most likely, so that is not really adviced.

If you have the kind of money, and are willing to spend it on a piece of junk.

Hehe, you go girl! (or boy)

Blender is no more, whatā€™s the harm in realizing it?
I guess Iā€™ll be patronized for writing this, you guys really like doing such things. How can I blame you, it is fun I know. But quite frankly, if this info doesnā€™t tell you anything, what will?

For those of you that are having problems following the conversation between Joeri and Ton, might be better if you only read what Ton wrote (or at least what Erwin quoted, that Joeri quoted, that I am quoting below)

In other words, it should make more sense this way:

Bugger. :frowning:

Maybe this should not have been posted? If someone sends me an email I donā€™t think I should post it to the whole world, without permission.

So how about just re-writing the thing, or rather a new one with no copyrite connections, maybe itā€™s too many man years to do thatā€¦
Maybe notā€¦

Good luck Ton.

Rob

Hey Erwin,

Its ā€œniceā€ to see you publishing internal mail on this forum.

You atleast could have given Ton some time to tell it first.

5 million dollars. er, of course you know it would be 5 mill to a certain, ā€œJoe DeGroffā€ and another 5 mill to a certain ā€œTon Roosendaalā€

wp - hear, hear!

all i can say is: damn they idiots that are killing blender!!! :x

Looks pretty damn grim now. The NaN/Blender ship has finally capsized.

How weird to see my reply to a private email posted on a public forum.
