Bake problem

Hello,
I’m fairly new to Blender and in my learning phase. I have a problem that I am facing.
I have modeled a simple bushy tree model and want to bake it for adding texture on it.
When I unwrap it, it takes a really complex shape which would be very hard to add texture to upon baking.

Could someone help me get a more simpler unwrap?

It’s going to be hard to do a very clean unwrap on something that lumpy without breaking it into a lot of pieces, but it’s made worse by the fact that it’s made of all triangles. You should almost always try for all quads in your models. I’d recommend that you watch some tutorials on good topology and then redo the model. Then, to unwrap it correctly, you’ll need to place seams where you want it to split up in the unwrap. Your model should be built while keeping those seams in mind, so that they can be placed strategically in order to minimize their visibility and produce a flat unwrap.

Thanks for the help, I’ll keep that in mine!
