I spent 19 hours baking a material. I created a blank image file, added an image texture node, selected the blank image and clicked bake.
I was pretty happy with the result and saved the .blend file to make sure I would not lose the texture and then closed blender.
To my surprise, next time I opened the .blender file I noticed my model was entirely black. When I was checking the texture, I realized the baked texture was missing. Actually the image file was still there, but it was completely black.
Why blender why? Now I hate you. Hahahaha
Why has blender turned my texture, that had been successfully baked, into a black image? Is it some kinda prank from the developers or what? Ok very funny, please just give me my texture back lol
