baking issues

its defiantly my fault this isn’t working for me but i have no idea why, Ive tryed a couple of things and searched youtube and Google for advice to no avail.

basically the issue is that Ive positioned and sized my uv to give the best detail but the baked image shows the image off position and much larger than expected.

is there a way to ensure each uv’s made keeps the quality i see in the 3d view panel ?

i am new to blender and everything Ive learned so far is from trial , error and experimentation. so be kind

So the image is shifted in 3D view or in UV image editor? If in 3D it can be just a mapping problem.

Can you post a picture please of that problem? Or blend file. ( http://pasteall.org/ site is good)
